Hi!
I'm
Jan Morrison and I'm really
glad you're here, checking out this site.
If you've been abused, I'm sure you probably don't feel like you're all of the things the heading of this page says. You may not feel like you're any of them. And I hate to start out our relationship by sounding like a know-it-all, but I have to tell you -- you are . . . all of them.
How do I know? Well, I've been where you are (you can read more about me by clicking here). Secondly, I've been working with teens for over 15 years, and I've never met one who wasn't . . . all of those things. I've met a few who didn't act
like they were, but that was because they didn't know the truth yet.
Nothing
that's happened in your life, whether it's something that was
done to you or
something you've done
has the power to destroy
who you really are.
The "real" you can be buried under the lies you've believed or
chained by the past or wounded by the injustice of your abuse.
But you're still there. You just need to be dug out, unchained, and
healed so you can learn to experience the joy of being you.
Since the first step toward finding you is to understand the truth about your abuse and who you really are, the most important thing I can do for you now is to introduce you to the Truth Teller. Then maybe you'd like to read what some teens who have gotten to know who they really are have written.
