His Healing Through His Body
Blessed be the God and
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of
all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be
able to comfort those who are in any trouble with the comfort with
which we ourselves are comforted by God.
2 Corinthians 1:3,4
All those who have been
sexually abused need recovery intervention.
So do the families of both the abused person and the perpetrator, as
they have also been affected by the actions of the perpetrator.
His
Healing Through His Body
is a
program designed to enable churches and coalitions of churches to
provide both freedom from the past memories and false beliefs of the
past and healing for the wounds of all those who have been affected
by the sin of sexual abuse.
Recovery is facilitated by a combination of direct and indirect intervention. In order for direct interventions to be successful they must be preceded by indirect interventions. Tree of Rest, Inc. education, training and ongoing consultation equips the body to provide both direct and indirect intervention.

The one component necessary for every church, or coalition of
churches, to implement when choosing to offer any sexual abuse
program.
Congregational
Education
Equips members of the congregation to provide the acceptance and
love needed for
healing by teaching an understanding of the emotions and behaviors
of those moving through the healing and restoration process.
Retreats:
In Safe
Hands (for
female adults and teens)
In
God's Hands (for
male adults and teens)
These intensive three-day retreats conducted by Tree of Rest. Inc.
are the foundation piece for the direct intervention program. The
retreats are held in safe, Christ-centered environments with
extensively trained workers and prayer partners. These gender
specific programs offer truth seeking, bondage breaking, and heart
healing ministry designed to address the issues surrounding sexual
abuse for those who have been abused, their spouses and family
members as well as those struggling with sexual addictions.
Witnessing and experiencing the love and faithfulness of God during
retreats creates the trust between participants that is necessary
for a successful group.
A three-day retreat for couples, one or both of whom have attended retreat and the subsequent discipleship group. This retreat ministers healing to the marriage relationship through prayer, teachings and exercises to equip couples to become one spiritually, emotionally and sexually.

R&R – Recovery
& Restoration (for male adults and teens)
16 weekly discipleship groups which expand upon, extend and complete
the understanding and healing received during the retreats, helping
to establish a firm foundation to not only receive complete healing
from abuse issues but to walk as a disciple of Jesus Christ.
As Isaiah 37:31 puts it, "to take root downward and bear fruit
upward."
Networking
Connects those who have needs with those who can help.
