Groups for male adults and adolescents
Sixteen weekly groups providing discipleship which brings healing to those who have been abused as they work through emotions that affect their lives - such as anger, bitterness, guilt, shame, distrust, and responsibility.
The foundation of the groups is the Word of God.
"So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not
return to Me empty, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it
shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."
(Isaiah 55:11)
Groups teach participants how to build and walk in personal relationship with God. It is this relationship which provides both healing for the wounds of the past and freedom from the deceptions of the enemy.
- remove the sense of isolation felt by those who have been abused.
- realize their behaviors are "normal" for persons who have been sexually abuse, but that God has a better "normal" life for them, a normal life that doesn't revolve around or define itself by the sexual abuse.
- recognize the devices satan used to lead them to accept the lies and the false beliefs on which they have based their lives. This recognition will allow participants to break the silence and lay down the other coping mechanisms they always felt were necessary to their survival.
