Congregational Education

General sexual abuse education of the entire congregation is vital if the church is to minister effectively to those who have been affected by sexual abuse.  The congregation must have an understanding of the emotions and behaviors of those moving through the process of healing and restoration if they are to be equipped to provide the acceptance, love, and appropriate accountability needed by those who have been abused and their families, as well as the families of perpetrators and others affected by sexual abuse.
