Statistics show that 38% of females and 16% of males are sexually abused before the age of 18*.  Those statistics alone would indicate that sexual abuse is definitely an issue affecting every school and community in America.  When you consider that:
  •  68% of incest survivors became adult victims of rape or attempted rape by a non-relative  at some point in their lives
  • Women who reported childhood rape were three times more likely to have become pregnant before age 18
  • 70% to 80% of sexual abuse survivors report excessive use of drugs and alcohol it is easy to see that the consequences of childhood sexual abuse continue to plague schools and communities long after the abuse takes place.

Tree of Rest, Inc. offers programs, training and consultation to address the issues within the community and school settings.
